A lot of the work at WDCM  will get done by the efforts of the station's committees. The Board has several standing committees (indicated below by *), and there are also a number of ad-hoc committees that meet to accomplish specific tasks (Building Committee, CD Committee) or provide an ongoing forum for discussion (Programming, News & Public Affairs).

Serving on a committee is a great way to learn how WDCM operates and how we make decisions.

Personnel Committee
Meets as needed to recommend policies and procedures regarding hiring and firing, salaries and benefits. The committee assists in recruiting, screening, and interviewing applicants for positions; assists in writing job descriptions for new positions; annually evaluates the Station Manager; intervenes where necessary in grievances involving staff, volunteers or others.

Scholarship Committee
Meets as needed to supervise and oversee the financial health of WDCM.

News & Public Affairs Committee
