Parents Strict? Think Again
If you think your parents were strict, might want to think again. I doubt they were anything compared to this father in Nigeria.

A father in northern Nigeria asked an Islamic court to sentence his 20-year old son to prison for refusing to engage in productive activities.

"He is not listening to words and he is bringing shame to my family. I am tired of his nefarious deeds. Please put this boy in prison so that I can be free," Sama'ila Tahir was quoted as saying.

Tahir told the court that his son had refused to go to school and accused him of belonging to a criminal gang.

The court sentenced the son to six months in prison and 30 strokes of the cane -- which were immediately administered on the premises -- for being disobedient to his parents.

Now go an give your parents a big hug and kiss.

Cops Embarrassed By Getaway "Car"
The look on deputies in Morgan County, Utah had to have been priceless when they tried to stop a driver who decided to flee.

Deputies say they started to pursue the driver after he was spotted spinning out in a city park in Morgan. He took off into an alfalfa field and jumped irrigation ditches that the sheriff's cruisers couldn't cross.

The catch? The driver was in a golf cart. That's right...a golf cart.

The Sheriff's Office says the cart was fitted with a car engine and was suprisingly speedy.

The suspect didn't stay free for long though. He was arrested the next day at his grandmother's house.
