WDCM Holding 3rd Annual Battle of the Bands

There’s nothing like good music and ribs.  At least that’s what WDCM is hoping as they combine with Marion Technical College, The Ohio State University of Marion, The US Open Commission, and The Marion Star to host the 3^rd Annual Rock and Ribs Festival on August 2^nd at the OSUM campus.

Several local establishments will be on hand to offer up their take on the American classic – barbecued ribs.  They will vie for the title of Marion’s Best Ribs, which will be selected by a panel of celebrity judges.  Marion residents will also have a say in the competition by voting for the People’s Choice Award.

And what’s a barbecue without the tunes?  12 bands will take the stage in hopes of winning the top prize of $250, 10 hours of professional recording time at Jester’s Court Recording Studio, and a spot at the top of next year’s battle.
