Meeker Welcomes 97.5 WDCM
06-21-2007

Our second week of Summer Tour 2007 is featuring the Meeker and DeCliff areas. Thursday the morning show went on the road, this week to Meeker. We talk about everything Meeker, gave and update on the missing Ohio women and complained about interns loosing our personal information.

Meeker - Where People Live Forever
The people of Meeker were so good to us. They opened the Meeker Fellowship Hall really early Thursday to host the show. Pastor Chris worked overtime Wednesday visiting local residents to convince them to stop in to the show. And boy did they show up.

Around a dozen locals came out to talk about their lives in the village and the history of the area. Meeker once a fairly large village that has become smaller over the years.

One of our guests mentioned she has never left the place she was born, living in the same house for 89 years. Roger Higgins was there talking about his hobby of collecting and rehabbing wagons and buggies.

We had so much fun this morning talking to all the interesting, and lively, people of Meeker. We can only hope every week is just as fun.

Next week we head to the Kirkpatrick and Martel areas of Marion County.

Weather Kid
Today's Weather Kid from Epworth Preschool & Daycare was very...very shy. So shy she would only say that today's weather was "sunny".
