Mini Golf, Ten Commandments, Old Time Radio 06-20-2007
We listened to old time radio Wednesday, learned where we will be broadcasting from tomorrow, and found about high calorie deserts. Rob Whalen crawled into the studio bright and early to talk about mini golf. Oh, and the Vatican released a new Ten Commandments.
Great Old Time Radio
Today in 1945, the classic "Who's On First" by Abbott and Costello first aired in the movie "Naughty 90's". After 62 years, it's still just as funny.
We played a clip on the show this morning. You can find all kinds of old radio shows at this website, www.radiolovers.com. They have everything from comedy to horror.
Mini Golf Spectacular Rob came in to talk about the WDCM Mini Golf Spectacular. Space is filling up fast as there are only 36 team allowed for each division.
There are lots of ways to play, but you have to get registered. We've heard from lots of people who say they are playing, but we're worried they may not get the chance if they don't get their forms turned in ahead of time.

Ten Commandments For Drivers The Vatican this week issued a set of "Ten Commandments'' for drivers, telling motorists not to kill, not to drink and drive, and to help fellow travelers in case of accidents.
Here's the full list:
- You shall not kill.
- The road shall be for you a means of communion between people and not of mortal harm.
- Courtesy, uprightness and prudence will help you deal with unforeseen events.
- Be charitable and help your neighbor in need, especially victims of accidents.
- Cars shall not be for you an expression of power and domination, and an occasion of sin.
- Charitably convince the young and not so young not to drive when they are not in a fitting condition to do so.
- Support the families of accident victims.
- Bring guilty motorists and their victims together, at the appropriate time, so that they can undergo the liberating experience of forgiveness.
- On the road, protect the more vulnerable party.
- Feel responsible toward others.
