Karen Jenson was in this morning as she is every Thursday. We talked about Lindsay Lohan's crash and burn. We also played a very ironic PSA that Lohan made with the band Simple Plan encouraging people to "stay safe" and use a designated driver.
Don't forget the library is kicking off their summer reading program on Saturday, June 2. Stop in all day to sign up and participate in all their activities. You can win prizes for reading all summer long. This includes younger kids, teens, and adults. Teens could even win a new ipod.
Friday, we'll have Jennetta Martin in the studio talking about Cruis'n For Dialysis, which is also Saturday, June 2.
Our Weather Kid today was Joseph. You can find audio downloads of our Weather Kids here.
Dude Was A Lady
In Boca Raton, Florida, an angry motorist, who was riding with his girlfriend, decided to take it upon himself to pull over another discourteous motorist and pretend to be an off -duty sheriff's deputy. However, while all this was going down, a real police officer showed up and revealed that not only was the "deputy" not a real cop, he was also not a he but a she! Apparently 21-year-old Rachel Otto wore her hair short on top and shaved on the sides and also liked to pass herself off as a man. This came as a huge shock to the girlfriend riding in the car with Rachel who apparently had no idea she was dating another woman. Police later discovered Miss Otto's rap sheet included nine arrests for impersonating police officers. (Palm Beach Post)
